Our Mission: Twins by the Bay is a non-profit, member-run support group for parents of multiples (twins, triplets, etc.) in the East Bay. We have members from Rodeo to Hayward to Walnut Creek, with most members in Berkeley, Oakland, and Alameda. Our mission is to educate, support and assist parents in the raising of multiple-birth children.

Join Twins By the Bay to get these member benefits:

  • Private member communication options to share and seek wisdom about life with multiples, find or recommend childcare, sell or search for children's items, and more.
  • Lending Closets the members can borrow from
    • Halloween Costumes
    • Snow Gear
    • Preemie clothing (because even full term multiples can be small)
  • Play dates for families (parks, swim spots, tumbling, & more)
  • Support groups, including one for Expectant & New families of multiples that is open to non-members
  • Evening outings for adults
  • Membership in the Multiples of America national organization which offers webinars with specialists in caring for and raising multiples
  • And more! We are a member-run club so members can bring their own ideas to the club to get the support and community they need.

New & Expectant Parents of Multiples Support Groups

Twins by the Bay offers member-facilitated support groups for all East Bay new & expectant families of multiples (twins, triplets, and more) - no club membership needed! Check out the Events Calendar for upcoming dates and email support@twinsbythebay.org for more details.

Attendees can ask questions and share concerns relating to expecting and handling infant multipes and meet others who also know the joys and challenges of parenting multiples. While these groups are open to all, members will get reminder emails and be able to directly contact the facilitator. Depending on the group, various issues regarding expecting and handling multiple infants might be discussed:
  • How do parents with multiples manage to find sleep?
  • What kind of help is available for new parents and how do you find leads?
  • Side-by-side or front to back strollers?
  • What cars fit all these kids?
  • How do I meet other parents of multiples?
